Most working woman are in the market place to enhance their revenue stream and their quality of life, and while being skilled at visioning their goals, many fall short of reaching those goals because they are not adept at balancing the various aspects of their lives that create a quality and fulfilling life. This workshop is designed for women who have goals of financial security, optimum wellness and living the life they dream. Specific tools and strategies will be addressed in this experiential and powerful workshop to help explore new opportunities to enhance marketability in the workplace and/or leverage opportunities for increased salary within current work environments
The workshop facilitator is; Rita Anita linger, President/CEO SERA, inc. Rita Anita currently serves as the President/CEO of SERA, Inc. (Southeast Raleigh Assembly, Inc). www.southeastraleigh.org. SERA, Inc. focuses on improving the quality of life for residents while developing enduring relationships between corporations/business and citizens. The organization concentrates on building community capacity, building business and economic development opportunities, developing youth through leadership and empowerment initiatives, creating safe communities through public safety efforts, creating opportunities for enhanced health and wellbeing particularly as it relates to environments and policy change, advocating for enhanced transportation systems, as well as affordable housing, and providing technical assistance/ support to non-profit organizations in the Southeast Raleigh Community
Ms. Linger believes in using person-centered processes to identify, cultivate and synthesize capabilities within human systems for professional and personal success. She believes as her favorite humanist and psychologist, Abraham Maslow posits "People's capabilities clamor to be used, and without those capabilities being realized, the person can atrophy, and disappear - diminishing him/her forever." To that end, Ms. Lingers works to bring the best of people including youth to their own awareness, ultimately causing them to self-generate authentic, humanistic and synergistic relationships amongst and between people in the workplace and their wider community; experiencing leadership in a way that will create solutions for seemingly intractable issues, and help positively change and sustain human environments and communities. She is a doctoral candidate in Human Science with over 25 years experience working within corporate and non profit environments.
